The Cure

THE CURE FOR PHILLY

The Cure poster in my teenage bedroom was a declaration of identity and a wellspring of inspiration. Designing a poster for the band was like closing a loop. In my design for their Philadelphia concert, Robert Smith strikes the same pose from the poster on my wall, but now atop the Rocky Steps—a symbol of victory deeply rooted in Philadelphia's ethos.

The orange poster, sold during the show at Wells Fargo Center, pays tribute to the Philadelphia Flyers, the arena's home team. The purple edition, released after the orange quickly sold out, mirrors the enigmatic allure of the band.

Designing this poster was both a professional milestone and a deeply personal endeavor, bringing my journey with The Cure full circle—from a teenage fan to a designer contributing to their enduring legacy.
